list a few of the many National Parks, museums and lighthouses to visit during your vacation or weekend getaway. Here we have selected some of our favorite activities for you to explore and hopefully experience while staying with us.
Water Sports and More
Nags Head is part of the barrier islands that make up the Outer Banks. With so much surrounding water of course there are water sports galore available. Sailing, kayaking, jet skiing, kite boarding, swimming, parasailing, dolphin tours, fishing and crabbing
are some of our favorite water sports.
Surfers grab your boards and come on in, we offer relaxed and an affordable place to stay close to all the action. We are only half a mile to Jennette's Pier where surfing contests and events are held through out the season, making us one of the favorite spots to call home.
For the thrill seeking set the Outer Banks also offers hang gliding, aero tours, wild horse tours and the like. Kitty Hawk Kites
offers many adventures to choose from including the new JetPack and Flyboard, all the rage on the Manteo Waterfront just 10 minutes away.
No trip to the seashore is complete until the kids (and adults alike) get to go to the put-put or ride the go-carts. Full Throttle Raceway is only a few minutes away and offers single and double seated Indy-style go-carts with your choice of figure 8 track or the oval slick-track. Even closer to the Tar Heel is Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf, a pirate themed mini-golf course with arcade and ice cream.
Shallowbag Bay in Manteo on Roanoke Island is the hide-out for Pirate Adventures of the Outer Banks
